Collaboration
More than being just a team player, true collaboration is a creative partnership. Building these partnerships takes time, but the results are worth it.
Curriculum and Instruction
I work closely with the instructional coach to research and model instructional best practices. Through this collaborative effort, I have modeled lessons utilizing stations, promoted disciplinary literacy, and shared our findings to help others.

Disciplinary Literacy
We collaborate to identify literacy needs throughout the building. Literacy skills are not just in English Language Arts. I was able to assist Social Studies teachers with a literacy issue while modeling technology integration.

Student-Centered Learning
To encourage student-centered learning, I model stations during media lessons. Stations have different activities that integrate technology and literacy standards.
Differentiated Learning
As our students' reading level dropped, we searched for ways to provide mentor texts that were engaging and non-threatening. We began with picture books and have collaborated on promotion and use. We have co-presented this model.
Professional Learning Communities
I regularly attend our school PLCs to hear what teachers are doing. I collaborate with them to strengthen and innovate instruction. I offer resource curation, technology integration, and co-teaching opportunities.

Social Science Fair
With many new Social Studies teachers, I collaborated to develop ways to streamline the project introduction. I introduced brainstorming techniques and research skills.
Research Disguised
When 7th grade ELA wanted to collaborate on research tied to their novel, I suggested we try something a little different. With their topic ideas and final outcome needs, I created an escape room for topic exploration and initial research.
Resources on Demand
To support teachers, I gather resources based on their requests. I place all resources in Wakelet for organization and ease of access.
